Book of Zhu – Ing Rao’s Chef Outfit

Standard

IngRao_w_letterings

Here’s another character we did for Book of Zhu, today is Ing Rao’s turn in her Chef Outfit for when she moves to the Palace.

Not only is she prepared to fight whatever might come her way, she will also cook amazing things for you – we can totally vouch for Ing Rao’s cooking skills since she was hired to be a royal chef, so… Yeah. There’s only so much that connections can do, and if she’s keeping that position, we’re sure that she must be doing a great job!

Here are more characters we’ve worked on:
Alternative outfits: Aya, Rani, The Empress and Eraeli.
Concept: Mika, Maru and Yi-Sunai

Book of Zhu – Yi-Sunai

Standard

YiSunai_BookofZhu_StarTwoIt’s been a while since we shared some of the work we did for Book of Zhu so today we bring you another character we designed for it.

She is a very determined girl named Yi-Sunai but called “The Beast” based on her ability to draw on aspects of animals in combat and use parts of their traits which alter her appearance when used.

We had a lot of fun designing her and her slight feral feeling while keeping her outfit something possible to move in when engaging in fighting.

Here is a list of some of the characters we’ve worked on:
Alternative outfits: Aya, Rani, The Empress and Eraeli.
Concept: Mika and Maru

“Street Fighter Tales” for Action X Team

Standard

Chun-Li, always a favourite of ours!

Art concept for “Street Fighter Tales” (click on the pictures to see them fullsize)

From 2016 to 2018 we worked with Action X Team on the project “Street Fighter Tales” and since its inspired in a videogame series that had been very present in our lives, we were thrilled when asked to do concept art and give it a slight twist in accordance to the script delivered.

We love to concept and in this case we had the extra challenge of thinking of the actor/actress/karateka that would fill the role. It was the first time we had that extra human factor while doing these concepts and having to make outfits that allowed a wide range of movements a.k.a. fighting action scenes not only for the camera but also for live action at events and stage shows!
From character sheets, to storyboard sequences and background images for live audiovisual interactive stage performances, we were thrilled to work on several steps of the process and areas that were completely new to us.

We had a blast and it was a specially rewarding feeling to see clothes come to life from our concepts (a sample is shown on the pictures) with the added responsibility to try and be loyal to the original characters.

★We hope you enjoyed it as well and as always, stay inspired★

Zelda longings

Standard

You forgot about my hair clips but that’s ok

Zelda’s Breath of the Wild is out and we got no chance of playing it :'(
Nevertheless, we’ll lust after the character designs whenever we can. This one was made months ago when the first images of Zelda got released. Her design is so adorable and we wonder if you can keep her following you around forever and ever, like Marin did in Link’s Awakening.

At least for now we got A Link Between Worlds to keep us going and one day, someday, we’ll join the BOTW hype! *hopeful sighs issue*

All this to say we wished we could play more games but we can’t ahaha…. hah… that’s life for ya, right?
